THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE GAME FROM THE DEFENSE OF THREE

In more recent years, many club teams and national representatives have proposed a three-player defensive line-up for the construction phase, deciding to build and develop the game through a layout characterized by three defenders plus one, two or even three midfielders. This choice arises from the desire to take advantage of the advantages that this solution offers in the ball possession phase.

In this third volume dedicated specifically to the offensive phase, Giuseppe Agostini explains which possible game developments and which methods of attack on the opponents' defensive line and penalty area can be achieved with this tactical attitude. In particular, it investigates the skills that each player should possess to capitalize on the efforts made during the maneuvering phase, the plays that can be part of the technical-tactical baggage of the individual or the department and the individual and collective game principles to be known to make the actions effective.
