20 practical proposals to integrate technical-tactical and conditional aspects
A modern approach to integrated training that proposes an evolution of the collaborative relationship between coach and athletic trainer .
For a long time, the methodological approach to footballer training found its main expression in structured "block" training, in which strength, resistance, speed, technique and tactics were stressed in specific phases and exercises. Recently this approach has been replaced by a new idea of the footballer , understood as an essential functional unit that needs to stimulate all the components of the performance as much as possible simultaneously. Even from a physical point of view, it is unthinkable to train the player with dynamics different from those of the game, since this would stimulate synapses and neuronal maps that would not then actually be reused in the game.
These premises led the two authors to develop and test a methodology which sees the work of the athletic trainer integrate with that of the coach . This book offers a series of 20 exercises that reproduce the real movement to which the player is subjected in the game, with the aim of improving the execution of the technical-coordinative gesture and, at the same time, intervening on performance and injury prevention. Each drill is classified based on the predominant physical capacity (aerobic power, strength, speed resistance or agility) combined with specific game contexts useful for stimulating the technical-tactical components.
This text constitutes a modern approach to integrated training , proposing an evolution of the collaborative relationship between coach and athletic trainer.
The manual contains:
The manual contains:
- a theoretical study on physical training which concerns physical capabilities, the performance model, suggestions for reading the drills correctly 20 drills to integrate the conditioning aspect and the technical-tactical aspect in specific situations (for example lateral 1 vs 1 , insertion, defensive slips)
- the exercises are divided according to the predominant physical ability: exercises for strength development;
- exercises for developing speed endurance; exercises for developing agility;
- exercises to develop aerobic power;
- statistical data obtained from GPS during training and matches used to quantify the conditional workload of each exercise;
- the data concerns the acceleration, strength, speed and heart rate expressed by the working group (Students category) in that specific exercise. specific themes for coaches with a conditional focus, which guide the coach in perfecting the conditional aspects without losing given the game principles
The manual also contains a video presentation by the authors and videos of the execution in training of four exercises carried out at the FC Südtirol Training Center with the U16 Student team coached by the same authors during the 2017/18 season
