By the term technical circuits we mean a series of linked analytical exercises which take place one after the other and which are repeated several times in a given time with the aim of stimulating the player to repeat one or more technical gestures .
Training, or rather, training the technical aspect through circuits gives players the opportunity to focus attention on a specific aspect, managing to take care of the details, acquiring that sensitivity with the tool which contributes to making the player aware and confident. athlete, who will then be able to focus attention on the tactical aspects of the game.
The objectives of the technical circuits must be clear and contained; the coach must have patience and method to plan the improvement of his players. Choosing the appropriate number of gestures and linking them together is a task that requires study and reasoning combined with contextualization in one's own reality.
Basic technical gestures such as driving, feints, passing and shooting, just to give a few examples, can be chained together at will within the circuits with the aim of making the player master of increasingly complex combinations.
Technical circuits are and must be a fundamental ingredient of every session and thanks to their adaptability they can be used in any phase of training, such as:
- in the initial phase to activate the players with the ball;
- in the central phases as relay races which, if well calibrated, can replace dry work;
- in the final stages in post-training for individualized work.
